Let me explain. No, wait, there is too much. Let me sum up: The GrĂ¡inne (pronounced Graw-nyah, did I ever tell you guys that?) is a speakeasy in early 1920s Boston, run by the Irish mob. Guy who does most of the leg work is one crazy hothead with a silly accent named Connor, who has two longstanding crew members: Aiden and Brandi. There's also a guy named Dane and his lackey Tony who don't like Connor and want to steal all his booze (DUN DUN DUN), a Russian spy named Anya who wants revenge against said Italian mafia, and a pilot named Jay who likes to drink. So, Tony has tried and failed to steal Connor's booze but succeeded in shooting Connor, Connor in a state of shock/delirium hit on Brandi and mortified her a bit, Aiden has made Tony look hilariously incompetent twice now, Anya got wasted, and Jay's cruising around in his plane like a boss. Did I forget anything important?

Let me explain. No, wait, there is too much. Let me sum up: I love you. Anywho, sounds about right! And I was thinking that Grainne rhymes with train, so yeah that's not how I was saying it at all! The more you know!

Yeah, I was thinking Grain like corn, although I don't think I ever actually vocalized it.

I always thought it was Graw-nay. XD I automatically pronounce e's on the end of words I don't know like that. I blame German class.
Also, what does Grainne mean?

It comes from the Irish word for "grain", and the whole name possibly belonged to an Irish fertility goddess. It's not super common but it is a legit first name.

(Trying to remember where we left off herp de derp.)
The metal bucket that Connor had been burning his ruined clothes in to dispose of was now full of ash. Connor snubbed out what was left of his cigarette and dropped it into the bucket. "Come on," he told Anya. "You'll feel better once you've had something t' eat."
(Oh, and so you guys know you don't have to censor yourself on here, naughty words will show up. XD)

Jay's still hanging out in his plane, because flying takes a long time. :-)

I can't really do much until the Grainne opens, because Brandi's day time activities are not particularly exciting.

That's not directed at anyone. I just like that smiley and felt like using it. Why don't we have it on hc where it's often necessary?lol Anywho, I forget exactly where I left Aiden. What time of day is it? I think I want O'Reilly to somehow find out that Aiden works for Connor, too. How I have it in my head is that Connor and Brandi know he works for both, but O'Reilly doesn't. If he finds out that Aiden helped Connor rip off one of his suppliers, Aiden could end up in an interesting pickle.

I have found my way here, yay!
Anya watched the cigarette drop into the bucket, then followed Connor inside. "Perhaps some food would do me some good," she mumbled, still slightly embarrassed, which was a new emotion for her. The previous night was slowly coming back to her in bits and pieces. "I sang..." she whispered to herself. Letting her guard down like that was a good way to get herself killed in her line of work. No more vodka, ever.

Zee: I want to say it's morning but I feel like no one actually gets up until after noon XD. So one-ish, maybe? (Also it would be super handy over there wouldn't it? XD)
Connor glanced over at Anya. "Oh come on now. You couldn't have been any worse off than I was the other night." He tried to smile, but it probably didn't look so comforting.

Jay banked over Chicago, looking down at the city from his plane. Then he tilted his stick toward New York and climbed to three thousand feet. He glanced at his watch and smiled. "Right on schedule."

"I didn't have a bullet in my shoulder, no," Anya answered, smiling a bit. She knew Connor was trying to help, and they were all a bit rough around the edges around here so she understood completely. She sat down at the bar and grabbed a chunk of bread, taking a bite out of it. "Where does everybody else go, during the day?" she asked, speech partially muffled by a mouth full of bread. She assumed they all had their own places, their own lives, but she was genuinely curious.

Connor shrugged. "I haven't really asked. It's safer that way." He knew that Aiden lived with his family and worked for his uncle, but he really didn't know much about Brandi's life outside of work.
