Carrie shook the woman's hand, her grip was strong before she let go, "Yes ma'm, I'm Carrie. I was applying for a pilot position thing. I'm sorry for being early, but if I'm not early I end up late a lot of the time."
(Carrie shall become a pilot thing!)

Felicity raised her eyebrows, but nodded. "The morning test flights should be finishing right... now," she said, looking down at her watch. "The director should be up shortly to conduct your interview." She sat back down at her desk and spun in her chair to face her computer. So far, the day was running according to schedule. "Good morning, Fe!" Felicity looked up when a familiar accented voice called her by her nickname. A young woman in an olive green jumpsuit entered the lobby. "Hey, Enzi, what's up?" Felicity said, caught between smiling at her friend and frowning at the grease and oil that stained her clothes and hands. "Please don't touch anything," she added, only half teasing. Enzi grinned. "Do not worry," she said. "I came for the new pilot." She looked over at Carrie. "So you know how to fly, do you?"

"Most of my life now, Carrie at your service." Carrie said offering the woman called Enzi her hand, she didn't mind the oil or grease.

Enzi accepted the handshake, which still seemed like an odd way to greet people, in her opinion, even after a year and a half in the U.S.A. Carrie looked older than herself, but not by much. "Enzi, this is Carrie Wilson," said Felicity from her desk. "Carrie, this is Enzi Zubizarreta. She works in product development and testing." "Yep," said Enzi, chuckling a little at the way Fe pronounced her name. "Everything from computer hardware to heavy machinery, and occasionally even test flying, but hopefully you'll be taking over with that. Just follow me and I'll take you down to the simulator so we can make sure you're up for the job."

"Yes ma'm." Carrie said her voice showed her excitement and she followed after Enzi.

"Picking up letters and packages, apparently." Val frowned. "Apparently the mail doesn't work." Or else it was just busy work to get him out of the office, which was starting to seem more likely. Maybe Uncle Adrian was even less enthusiastic about his joining the company than he'd thought. Brilliant, Jaime thought. Was this all he was worth? He could be spared to babysit because he couldn't do anything else? What was he even supposed to report on? The guy could barely look at him, let alone tell him some valuable secret about the company!

Kelly left Liam to his work and returned to his office.
Val wasn't great at reading other people, but he didn't have to be to tell that Jaime was even less thrilled about this than he was. He bit his lip, fiddled with his phone for a moment, and then said, "I'm really sorry. About all this."

Jaime looked over at Val, then back ahead at the street in front of them. "Don't be," he said. He looked at his feet. Val probably wasn't all that happy to be stuck with him either.

Val bit his lip again. Then he shook his head. "This is stupid," he said. "We could be doing more important things." Val changed direction and started walking faster.

Jaime barely had time to blink before Val took off in another direction. "Wait!" Jaime called after him. He pushed past a few people to catch up to Val. "Jesus! A little more warning next time, okay?" he said, but grinned. Things were getting a little more exciting now. "Where are we going now?"

Val grinned, sheepish. "Sorry. I forgot," he said. He wasn't used to having someone following him. In answer to Jaime's question he said, "Someplace quiet."

"Quiet?" Jaime asked, "Why?"

"Because I need to work on something," Val said. He lead Jaime into a small park and sat on a bench, pulling his laptop out of his bag. "There's another reason I came back," he confessed. "I think Adrian's doing something awful."

(and poor Liam doesn't even know what his creations are going to be used for D:)
Once Mr. Kelly had left, Liam went over to his desk and turned his music on. Some days, he preferred to work in the quiet, but other days he liked to have some background noise. Today was one of those days. He pulled his sketchbook out of his messenger bag and began skimming through the pages, searching for project ideas.

"I think Adrian's doing something awful." Jaime sat down next to Val. "And what would that be?" He looked over at the other man, trying to not sound too eager. Would this be something he could report back to Kelly? The idea made him a little bit sick, but he could really use the extra money.
