(Is HC down for you guys too, or is that a personal problem?)
Aiden frowned as he entered the bar a moment after the others, just in time to see them disappear down the hall. How was he supposed back them up now? He sidled over to the bar and stood as near as he could to the door where they had gone. Over the music in the bar, he could not make out the conversation from within, but figured that raised voices would precede any problems and give him warning enough to intervene.

(every time I have tried to go on HC today, I get a web page that says "service unavailable." I thought maybe it was just my computer, but I guess I'm not the only one with that problem.)

(Oh good it's not just me then. Their servers must be down or something.)
Johnson's red face paled as he looked at Anya. "Fine, but only if I don't have to deal with him again."
Based off of the looks Anya and Brandi had given him, Connor decided that removing himself from the situation was probably best. "Sounds good. We can start right now." He stood up and added, "I'm sure Anya and Brandi can work out the details," before scooting out.

Brandi smiled when Anya rolled her eyes. Perhaps having her around wouldn't be so bad after all. She stepped up to stand next to her as Connor slipped out. She looked down at Dodger. "We'll need thirty cases."

Johnson snorted after Connor, but turned to Brandi. "You're picking it up," he said. "And it's a hundred seventy-five per case."
(No it's not Johnson you're a liaaaaaaaaaaaar.)
Connor found Aiden lurking outside and joined him. "Long time no see," he joked, rubbing his injured shoulder. It didn't hurt much, but enough to remind him that he'd been shot the other day.

Brandi frowned at Johnson's offer. "I'll give you ninety a case."

"Hundred fifty," Johnson said, giving Brandi a scowl.

"Dodger, I know for a fact that Parrino was only giving you seventy-five a case," Anya pointed out. Johnson, the slippery bastard, was trying to slip them the mickey, and Anya knew it. She offered the man a smirk, one that indicated that she was all too willing to fling a knife at his head if he didn't comply.

"Well I'll need more from you," Johnson grumbled. "Hundred a case?" he offered Brandi.

Brandi considered the offer for a moment. One hundred was a pretty good deal for good whiskey, and she knew she wouldn't get him down to seventy five, so she said, "Deal. Where should we pick it up?"

"I got a place in the Leather District," Johnson said, and gave Brandi the directions. "We done here?"

Aiden was relieved to see Connor in one piece. "Letting the ladies bargain for you, no?" he said in an undertone, keeping his eyes on the patrons in the bar.

"They'll have better luck. And I'll be less likely to be shot," Connor agreed.

"Again," Aiden added. He glanced away from the crowded bar for a brief moment to grin at Connor.

"We're done," Brandi confirmed, then turned and lead the way out to the bar.
