Please read all rules carefully. If there is one you do not understand, or it is unclear, post it on this board, it PM me and I will clear up any confusion.
Most of the rules are only common etiquette that should be respected even on the internet. This boards involves members of every age, religion and experience. Therefore the following rules apply:
1: RESPECT-- Get used to it.
All members, moderators and the administrator will be treated with respect. If you have a problem with a member, don't fill the boards with it. Take it to the PM. If a problem arises and turns into a "he said, she said", I will investigate both sides. After hearing the complaints on both sides, I will confer with the moderators and view their opinions--UNLESS said moderator is a part of the arguement.
That means respect another person's writing, even if they don't write what you do.
Be honest, but fair in your evaluation--
That means, if you don't like Sally's excerpt just because, then don't post on it. But if you notice mistakes that needs a little adjustment, then go ahead.
What's acceptable as far as language and other stuff?--
NOTHING that could be remotely classified as erotica or pron will be tolerated. A kiss? OK, but not the whole graphic scene of what happens.
As far as language, don't go over board. I don't want to have anyone mentally "bleeping" out more than two words in a sentence. And keep the language about body parts to yourself.
What happens when someone breaks the rules?--
They will be given a warning. After that, they will be banned for a week. If it happens again, you will be banned indefinately.
Well, I have a friend's piece that she doesn't want to put up...but it's really good!
No. This is copyright infringement and will not be tolerated unless you have been specifically asked to put it up because they either A) Don't want an account on WordBender's, or B) Too shy to hear comments directed AT them.
While these rules about the language and stuff might be seen as a "suppression of the 1st Amendment" and free speech, it again, is all about decency.
So, as these are all the rules I can think of at the moment, enjoy becoming a Master Wordbender!
