"One city's like another, and they're all loud, dirty, and full to bursting with the mindless dregs of human kind," Thorn said, sour.

Alice shook her head, "That's not what I ment, why are we going to Copenhagen?" She said but still almost laughed, Thorn was just so positive and loving, not.

"I don't know, that's why I asked you." Alice said as if that was the obvious reason.

Aquila turned toward Thorn when he spoke. She cocked her head slightly as she looked at him, curious at the source of his bitterness. "Have you been to Granada?" she asked. She kept her voice gruff, and leaned at the rail and spit into the sea for good measure, since that was something men seemed to do sometimes.
*edited to add, this site has the best captchas. I often type the wrong password because I forget it's not the same as on hc, so then proboards makes you do a captcha. Today it was "om nom nom", and a couple days ago it was "carpe diem."

(Today my captcha was "King Arthur." Yesterday it was "pasta train." I honestly use the wrong log-in information intentionally at this point.)
Aquila blinked and looked down, unprepared for Thorn's blunt answer. "Well," she mumbled. She looked up again. "It is like no other."

"That's what everyone says about their city," Thorn said.
"Thorn, do us all a favor and shut up," Thorkil said. Thorn glared at him, but only stalked off to busy himself on another part of the ship.

Alice smiled mischievously, "But its funny to hear him complain." She whined and slipped down from her place on the mast, in front of Thorkil. "Got a job for me by the way?" She asked, placing her hands on her hips.
